Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Collins Road over Little Allatoona Creek This is a bridge replacement project involving replacement of existing bridge on Collins Road over Little Allatoona Creek with temporary detour construction, curb and gutter, sidewalk installation, and water system work. May require Georgia Utility Contractor License and GDOT bid requirements compliance. Project consists of replacement of existing bridge on Collins Road at Little Allatoona Creek. A temporary on site detour north of the existing bridge will be required. Project also includes curb and gutter and a five-foot wide sidewalk on the south side of the bridge. The total project length is 0.13 miles. Cobb County Water System work will also be included. The time allowed for performance of the project will be 300 from the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages of $2,000.00 per consecutive calendar day shall be assessed for failure to complete the project within the specified time frames. All bids shall be accompanied by an Electronic Bid Bond via Bid Express a Paper Bid Bond, or a Certified Check delivered in a sealed envelope, indicating the project name and project number, to Cobb County Procurement Services Department, 1828 West Oak Parkway, Marietta, Georgia 30062, BEFORE THE 12:00 NOON DEADLINE. Bid Bond shall be drawn in favor of the Board of Commissioners, Cobb County, Georgia, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid for the complete work.
