Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Sainte-Marie, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 42,500-square-foot, three-story above grade municipal facility.
Construction of the new building housing the District of Innovative Construction (DCI) in Sainte-Marie. DCI will be dedicated exclusively to the construction industry, whose mission is to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies, innovative practices and industrialized processes by Quebec companies in the sector. DCI will consist of four main components totaling approximately 42,500 square feet of gross floor area: construction of Robotics and Automation Laboratory (LaRAC): approximately 10,250 sq ft, operated by CCTT Mécanium; multidisciplinary Laboratory for Innovative Construction: approximately 4,900 sq ft; acoustics laboratory: approximately 10,800 sq ft; leasing office and event space: approximately 6,700 sq ft (excluding circulation areas, restrooms, and technical spaces). The project is being developed in the construction management model. TIMELINE: Request for proposals for architectural services to complete design and conduct construction surveillance is underway.
