For the furnishing of materials and performing the labor for the execution and construction of: Fast-Seal High-Speed Rolling Doors General Requirements a. Fast-Seal High-Speed Rolling Doors must meet the following requirements : i . Variable speed AC drive motors with dynamic breaking and absolute encoder. ii . Dual-chamber, auto-reversing soft edge of bottom bar. iii. Minimum of two sets of thru beam photo eyes. iv. Reliable wireless communication between bottom bar and control panel. v. Controller with self-diagnostic capabilities in a NEMA-4X rated enclosure. vi. Path trip safety systems. Mechanical Installation a. At a minimum, required mechanical installation services shall include: i. Mechanical installation of doors complete with necessary mounting anchors in accordance with final approved drawings and manufacturer's installation instructions. ii. Disposal of new door crating and jobsite debris. iii. Labor at applicable prevailing wage rates. Electrical Installation a. At a minimum, required electrical installation services shall include: i. Mounting of control panels, safety devices, and Bidder supplied activators within 10' of door openings. ii. Wiring from source to disconnect, door control panel to the electrical disconnect, motor, encoder, safety, devices, activations, and cooler/freezer door defrost systems , as applicable. iii. Termination of wiring from all components in control panel. iv. Flexible EMT conduit to be used. v. Labor at applicable prevailing wage rates. Owner's Estimate: $ 500,000 Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the exact form included in the project manual and meeting the requirements The Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority reserves the right to waive any informality or in its sole discretion, to reject any or all bids. The Project consists of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the timely and proper completion of construction for the Fast-Seal HighSpeed Rolling Doors as described within the Project Manual and Technical Specifications. Bidders are responsible for visiting the site to determine existing conditions. No plea of ignorance of conditions that exist, or of conditions or difficulties that may be encountered in the execution of the work, as a result of the failure to make such examination and investigation, will be accepted as an excuse for any failure or omission on the part of the bidders to fulfill in every respect all the requirements of the contract, nor will the same be accepted as a basis for any claim whatsoever for extra compensation or for an extension of time
