Sealed Bids are requested improvements to the Pink Hill Old Plant Pump Station consisting primarily of replacement of pumps and controls; and removal of previously abandoned grit dewatering screw and installation of influent static screen and wash press. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond by an acceptable surety company of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Owner, Town of Pink Hill. A Performance and a Payment Bond will be required for the successful bidder in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract, payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, and payment of all liabilities incurred in connection with the work under this contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and any part of a bid and to waive informalities and technicalities in the bidding procedure. Small, under-utilized, minority, or women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit Bids. All bidders are required to make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and comply with GS 143-128 and the MBE/WBE goals established by Town of Pink Hill. Bidders shall have a verifiable ten percent (10%) goal for participation by minority businesses in the total value of work.
