Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; office development; 3,400-square-foot retail development; 8,757-square-foot clubhouse / community center; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Atlanta Track Club and Atlanta Public Schools are advancing plans for the Cheney Olympic Legacy Complex on a 16.5-acre site in Atlanta. The project would create Georgia's first indoor track-and-field facility, including a 200-meter indoor track, Atlanta Track Club headquarters, a STEM Center, healthcare offerings, community space, retail space, outdoor track enhancements, pedestrian improvements, and supporting parking. Community engagement is underway with APS Board consideration anticipated in August 2026 and efforts to finalize a definitive agreement by September 2026.
