A $439 million battery energy storage project is planned in Nashville, Tennessee, involving several electrical substations and a 100-megawatt storage system. The project will improve grid reliability, manage peak electricity demand, and provide supplemental power during periods of system stress. Batteries connected to the distribution system will support approximately 12,000 homes and businesses. Solicitations are expected to be released in phases from late 2026 through the first half of 2027.
