The overall objective of the Work is to achieve quantitative noise reductions in the included Residential Properties which are affected by aircraft operations. The Work provides for improved sound reduction of openings in the exterior envelope of each dwelling unit using known systems and workmanship. Preconstruction acoustical testing has been performed by the Authority at selected Units. Postconstruction testing will also be performed by the Authority. Sound testing is used to determine whether the program is achieving the noise-reduction goals in the selected residential units. Including all the alternates, there are twenty-eight (28) individual residential parcels. Twenty-one (21) are single-family parcels, and seven (7) are multi-family parcels . There is a total of thirty-five (35) dwelling units. The work includes (28) HOUSES TO RECEIVE FAA GRANT MONEY TO IMPROVE SOUND INSULATION. REPLACEMENT OF EXISTING WINDOWS AND DOORS WITH NEW ACOUSTIC WINDOW & DOOR PRODUCTS, INSTALLATION OF VENTILATION & AIR CONDITION EQUIPMENT, DUCTWORK, ELECTRICAL, PAINTING, SHEETROCK & FINAL FINISH WORK.
