LOCATION OF PROJECT The project is located within the Village of Round Lake Beach, Lake County, Illinois , and consists of three project sites in close proximity to one another. The project is situated on the north side of the Village, west of IL Route 83, north of Rollins Road, and in the vicinity of Village Hall and Hook Lake. A location map is included in the Contract Documents to illustrate the project sites. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT This project, officially known as the "2026 Pavement Improvements Project", consists of milling and resurfacing existing pavements with HMA binder and surface courses, construction of an HMA trail extension, earth excavation, concrete curb and gutter replacement, concrete driveway and sidewalk replacement, ADA curb ramp improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, and landscape restoration, as detailed below and throughout these Contract Documents. Metra Parking Lot Improvements Includes 4-inch milling of the existing parking lot and access drive, installation of a 4-inch HMA pavement section, removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter, removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, installation of ADA detectable warnings, adjustment of storm inlet frames, pavement markings, and landscape restoration. 2095 Orchard Lane Access Drive Improvements Includes 2-inch milling of the existing asphalt surface on the access drive, installation of a 5-inch HMA pavement section, pavement removal and replacement, installation of a concrete driveway pad, installation of storm sewers, culverts and catch basin improvements, installation of concrete curb and sidewalk, brush clearing along the perimeter of the chain-link fenced area at the east end of the site, installation of aggregate shoulders, and landscape restoration. Hook Lake Trail Extension Includes earth excavation for construction of an HMA trail extension to complete the loop around Hook Lake, installation of aggregate base course and HMA surface course, construction of a gravity retaining wall and wood fence, and landscape restoration with turf seed and native seed.Round Lake Area Park District Parking Lot Improvements Includes 4-inch milling of the existing parking lot and access drive, installation of a 4-inch HMA pavement section, minor earth excavation , pavement markings, and associated restoration.
