Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Marana, Arizona. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a playground / park / athletic field.

This project consists of constructing a new splash pad and parking facility at Tangerine Sky Park. The improvements will also include a mechanical building, a surge tank, play features, and landscaping. This is an active park and will remain open during construction. Adequate temporary fencing shall be provided with appropriate shielding and buffer space to ensure public safety. A project safety/ pedestrian traffic control plan will be required, showing the location of fencing and appropriate safety devices needed to secure and notify the site. The fire line and hydrant shown on the plans entering the new north parking lot will not be part of this project. Tucson Water will install the hydrant at the entrance to the new lot. This work will be completed by Tucson Water; the permit and construction fee shall be paid by the contractor utilizing the allowance in the bid tabulation. Parking lot lighting will not be included in this project. It is the contractor's responsibility to retain a geotechnical engineering firm to perform quality control testing. This project also requires special inspections for: earthwork compaction, grading, structural masonry, structural welding, and site lighting. Responsive bidders shall include these fees in their cost proposal. The Town requires that any and all materials used on the project pass quality control tests as detailed in the specifications. Final acceptance is contingent upon receipt of passing tests/inspections. Every effort should be made to utilize non-parking areas for staging and storage during construction to maximize public parking.
