SCOPE OF CONTRACT This project includes the removal and replacement of boardwalk lumber as well as connecting hardware for the Mesa Falls boardwalk. The work includes removing and disposing of old pressure-treated lumber. Replacing all lumber with comparable stringers , deck boards, and other lumber as well as connecting hardware. Existing metal railings, posts, anchors, and other supports will remain in-place to be re-used. Redwood Bench lumber and connecting hardware will also be replaced for the 10 benches along the boardwalk and asphalt pathways. Quantities associated with these options are identified in the Schedule of Items.PROJECT LOCATION A. The project is located in the Ashton/Island Park Ranger District of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, Fremont County, Idaho, in Section 13 Township 10 North, Range 43 East. It is located approximately 16 miles Northeast of Ashton, Idaho. The project may be accessed from State Highway ID-47 (Mesa Falls Scenic Byway/Old Highway 47 Scenic) and Forest Road 20295/Upper Mesa Falls Road Date: Tuesday, August, 11th, 2026 Time: 1000 Mountain Time Site Address: Upper Mesa Falls is located at the end of Forest Service Road 295. From Ashton ID turn East onto ID-47 N. Main St. for 16.2 miles to Upper Mesa Falls scenic byway. Continue for 2.5 miles. Turn West onto Upper Mesa Falls Road for 0.9 miles to reach Mesa Falls Recreation area. (44.1878, -111.3286). We will meet at the visitors center and walk down to the project site.
