Site work and renovation of a power facility in Gainesville, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.

Installation of approximately 600 linear feet of commercial-grade, black vinyl-coated chain link fencing and a 14-foot wide double gate system at the substation perimeter. Question Deadline 08/04/2026 at 4:00 PM ET Questions are to be submitted to the online portal Site Preparation & Design oSite Survey: A survey of the property boundary has been completed. Survey stakes exist and should be followed. The fence should be erected within three inches of the property line. o Utility Underground Marking (811): Verify that all underground lines were marked before posthole digging, which is critical in a substation environment. oPermits: The vendor shall be responsible for preparing, filing, fees, and executing all necessary permits required for the successful completion of the project. Site Prep: The vendor shall provide any additional grading/ site preparation that may be necessary to maintain a straight and true fenceline. o Footings: All posts shall be set in concrete footings compliant with local building codes, ensuring depth is adequate for the soil conditions and site requirements. The gate footings need to be a depth of 42 inches below grade. Gravel Base: Dig the hole 4 to 6 inches deeper than the post depth to accommodate a compacted gravel/crushed stone base at the bottom. This allows proper drainage and keeps standing water away from the bottom of the post. The hole diameter should be 3 times the width/diameter of the post (or a minimum of 12 to 16 inches). Pour the concrete to within 2 inches of the soil level , then slope/dome the top of the concrete away from the post at grade. This "crown" sheds rainwater away from the metal/wood interface. Cleanup: The contractor shall remove all excess material, packaging, and debris from the site daily. Final site restoration (grading and landscaping repair) is required upon project completion. Physical Infrastructure Perimeter Fencing: Approximately 600 feet of 7-foot commercial-grade black vinyl-coated chain link system (9-gauge or larger) installed along the north facing property boundary. Coating TypeClass 2B (Thermally Fused and Bonded).: This is the highest quality; the vinyl is fused to the wire, preventing it from peeling or tearing like cheaper "extruded" alternatives. o Bottom Tension : A bottom tension wire or " deadman" anchors should be used to prevent intruders from crawling under the fence fabric. The Fence will run between an existing gate on the utility right of way behind the substation located near the north east property line to a point within three inches of the sidewalk one northwest edge of the property. This property line is next to the Hampton Inn . See attachment in this request. Selvage: Knuckle x Barb (sharp twisted edge finish at top and bottom. Also called twisted barb) Compliance Signage: Installation of four " No Trespassing" signs at state mandated intervals along the new perimeter. GRU security will provide the signs and locations. The vendor will attach them with tamper resistant fasteners. Gate Access: Install one ( 1) 16-foot wide double-swing system at the designated access point. -Gate will be equipped with a center post -Gate will be able to accommodate a standard security padlock. o Framework: Heavy-duty steel tubing. Line posts (1-7/8" O.D. ) spaced at a maximum of 10-foot intervals; terminal/gate posts (3"-3-1/2" O.D.).
