Provision and installation of three Advanced Thermal Hydronics KN Series condensing hot water boilers and three Taco 2400-60-3P pumps with new motor starters. Manassas City Public Schools (MCPS) is soliciting Bids from qualified Bidders for the provision of three (3) Advanced Thermal Hydronics (ATH) KN Series, condensing hot water boilers and three (3) Taco 2400-60-3P pumps with new motor starters. The successful Bidder shall be responsible for providing and installing three (3) boiler and three (3) pumps at Haydon Elementary School (the "Work") located at 9075 Park Avenue, Manassas, VA 20110. 1. Boiler and Pump Replacement a) Furnish and install three (3) ATH KN Series, Model KN4 condensing hot water boilers. b) Furnish and install three (3) Taco 2400-60-3P, 1/6 HP pumps, each with a new motor starter. c) Perform boiler replacement sequentially, isolating and replacing one boiler at a time to maintain system integrity. 4. Demolition and Removal a) For each boiler: lock out/tag out (LOTO), disconnect and unwire all electrical feeds, drain the boiler, and disconnect all system piping and ancillary connections. b) Remove each existing boiler from its pad and rig the new boiler into the same general location, using appropriate means and methods for lifting and rigging. 5. Installation and Connections a) Install each new boiler on the existing pads or as shown on the contract documents.b) Install the new pump associated with each boiler, including alignment, supports, and connection to the new boiler. c) Pipe each new boiler and pump assembly to existing system connections, reusing existing electrical power feeds where indicated and acceptable by code and the Owner. d) Connect each new boiler to the existing flue outlet, providing any required transition fittings to ensure proper draft and code compliance. e) Furnish and install new motor starters for all boiler pumps, including wiring, terminations, and labeling. f) Provide all necessary valves, fittings, and accessories to properly isolate each boiler into the system and allow for normal operation and maintenance. 6. Controls, Start-Up, and Commissioning a) Integrate all new boilers and pumps with the existing HeatNet control system. b) Program the HeatNet control system for proper lead/lag operation of the three-boiler plant, including rotation logic as directed by the Owner or Engineer. c) Start up and commission each boiler and pump, verifying safe operation, proper sequencing, and performance in accordance with manufacturer requirements and contract documents. d) Provide the Owner with complete start-up and commissioning reports for all equipment installed.
