Roof replacement at Coffman High School. SUMMARY OF WORK The following is only a summary of the work that is to be completed and is not all-inclusive. The Contract Documents shall be reviewed as they specify all of the requirements for the project. Base Bid - Roof Replacement - Roof Areas 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d , Q, and R Low-Sloped Roof System Replacement 1 . Remove existing membrane roof system down to the structural deck, where specified. The base flashings and some sealants on some roof areas have asbestos containing materials. The Contractor is responsible to comply with all applicable regulatory requirements in the removal, handling, and disposal of all asbestos containing materials. See Sections 00 31 23.23, 00 31 23.24, and 00 31 26.25 for copies of the Asbestos Sampling Reports for this project. The roof areas referenced in the asbestos testing reports correspond to the roof areas listed on the roof plans as follows: Roof Area FR2 => Roof Areas 11a - 11d Roof Area FR3 => Roof Areas F1a - F1b Roof Area FR4 = > Roof Areas H1a - H1d 2. Inspection of the structural steel deck for areas of deterioration.Areas of corroded steel roof decking shall be prepared and painted on a unit price basis. See Section 01 21 00 Allowances for the quantity of corrosion removal and painting that is to be included in Base Bid. Areas of moderately-to-severely corroded steel roof decking shall be replaced on a unit price basis. See Section 01 21 00 Allowances for the quantity of steel roof deck replacement that is to be included in Base Bid. Install new 60 mil fully-adhered Thermoplastic Membrane Roof System in accordance with the Contract Documents. Install new coping caps , edge metal , counterflashings, and miscellaneous sheet metal as specified Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall submit a written request for information to the Architect at least seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. By submitting its Bid, each Bidder represents and agrees, based upon its careful and diligent review of the Bidding Documents, that it is not aware of any conflicts, inconsistencies , errors or omissions in the Bidding Documents for which it has not timely notified the Architect.
