The Branch Intermediate School District is accepting sealed proposals for the Foundation Project Located at 7 Michael Drive, Coldwater, MI 49036 with the following conditions and specifications. Concrete used shall conform to applicable building codes. Walls for basement to be 8" x 9 ', walls for garage to be 6" x 4 ' and shall be reinforced to meet code. Footings to be 16" x 8" and are to be formed 4" above floor of excavation to allow for pea stone for Radon mitigation and shall be reinforced to meet code. Notch foundation with 18'3" opening for garage door opening and a 38" opening for a service door. Exact dimensions will be confirmed at time of pour. Confirm beam pocket size and location at time of pour. Confirm location of 6 post pads and bearing wall footing pad at time of pour. Mudsill bolts will be installed and shall conform to all codes. Wooden window bucks for 1 egress window and 4 hopper windows shall be installed per blueprint specs. All pertinent codes must be observed and the foundation contractor is responsible for having all inspections performed . Each Bidder who intends to submit a Bid in response to this RFP may (but shall not be obligated to) submit, via email, an "Intent to Respond" to Ashley Hemker at hemkera@branch-isd.org. Question Deadline 08/05/2026 It is the intent of the School District to award any Contract in due course after a reasonable period of time to evaluate Bids in light of the requirements of the Bidding Documents. The School District reserves the right to be the sole judge of any equivalency determinations, to waive any bid requirement in accepting or rejecting bids, to waive any irregularity in the bid process or any Bid, and the right to determine the lowest responsible bidder for purposes of bid award. The School District reserves the right to request additional information from any or all Bidders, including an oral interview to discuss, clarify, and answer any questions regarding the Bid. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Grounds for rejection of Bids may include, but are not limited to: Failure of Bid to conform to requirements of the Bidding Documents Submitting a Bid imposing conditions which would modify the terms and conditions of the Bidding Documents or limit the Bidder's liability to the School District on any awarded contract Submitting a Bid determined by the School District to be unreasonable in price The Bidder is determined by the School District not to be a responsible Bidder Any other legal reason deemed relevant by the School District and which is consistently applied
