Replace approximately 2,200 LF water main with cement lined DI water main on Winthrop St. from Metcalf Square to Main St.; new service connections, hydrants; and replace two private side lead service lines Town of Winthrop, MA (Owner) invites Bidders to submit sealed Bids for Winthrop Street - Phase 1 Water Main Improvements which includes: replacement of approximately 2,200 linear feet of existing water main with new 20-inch to 4- inch cement lined ductile iron water main on Winthrop Street from Metcalf Square to Main Street; replacement of existing service connections and curb boxes, hydrants, removal and resetting of granite curbing; modifications of existing small diameter water mains adjacent to Project area; replacement of 2 private side lead service lines from main to 1 -foot beyond building foundation wall; and all materials and equipment, construction, and services inherent to the Work (Base Bid). Additional Work is included for bidding as Alternates (to be awarded at Owner's option): Alternate A - Replace Water Main on Brookfield Road from Pleasant Street to Lincoln Street; Alternate B - Reclaim Existing Pavement on Winthrop Street from Metcalf Square to Main Street.
