The project is the reclamation of the Memmelaar West AML site in Mahaska County, Iowa. The site is located approximately 1.5 miles southeast of Leighton on Elba Avenue, approximately 3/4 mile south of 220th Street, and approximately 1/2 mile north of 235th Street. The site is one project, but it is comprised of two separate work areas situated closely together. In general, the work includes, but is not limited to: impoundment discharge, clearing, grubbing, excavation, pipe installation, sediment and erosion control, and permanent seeding.
