Fiber Backbone Replacement at Boston National Historic Park (BOST) Location: Boston National Historical Park - Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA Any questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to Mari Tolleson, at mari_tolleson@ios.doi.gov or individuals listed as out of office contacts no later than 10:00 AM ET on August 7, 2026. Replace existing inter-building fiber optic communications cabling by installing new OS2 single-mode fiber through currently existing underground conduit pathways throughout the Charlestown Navy Yard. Work includes verifying conduit continuity, pulling new fiber cable, terminating and testing all strands to industry standards, and documenting pathways and terminations. No ground disturbance is anticipated; however, if collapsed or failed conduit segments require localized excavation, work will pause and the Contracting Officer will notify NPS archeologists for monitoring prior to any excavation. Only limited, as-needed conduit repairs will occur, within previously disturbed utility corridors wherever possible.
