Improvements include installation of new carpet, power and low-voltage work, interior painting, and wall graphics at Building EE and Building LL. Remove and dispose of existing flooring and rubber base within the designated project area as identified in the contract documents. b. Remove and temporarily relocate any items as necessary to facilitate flooring replacement and installation of new equipment. Reinstall removed items upon completion of work unless otherwise noted. c. Protect adjacent finishes, furnishings, equipment, and occupied areas from damage during demolition and construction activities. d. Properly dispose of all demolition debris and maintain a clean and safe work area throughout construction. e. Contractor shall field verify existing conditions, dimensions, and site constraints prior to demolition and installation activities. f. Miscellaneous demolition shall include the removal and disposal of existing items identified in the provided demolition photographs and contract documents. Contractor shall review all provided photos and documentation, field verify existing conditions, and include all labor, materials, equipment, and disposal necessary to complete the demolition work. A. FLOORING a. Prepare existing substrates as required to receive new flooring materials, including removal of existing adhesives, cleaning, minor patching, leveling, and surface preparation necessary for a complete installation. b. Provide and install new flooring and rubber base within the designated project area as identified in the contract documents. c. Provide and install all required flooring accessories, transitions, trims, adhesives, and related materials necessary for a complete installation. d. Install flooring materials in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, industry standards, and approved installation requirements. e. Contractor shall field verify all quantities, dimensions, and existing conditions prior to bid and include all labor and materials necessary to complete the work. B. CEILINGS ( ESL Office, ESL Learning Center) a. Replace all damaged, stained, broken, cut, or otherwise unsuitable ceiling tile panels within the project area, including tiles damaged during construction activities. Damaged tiles are approximately 30 tiles, contractor to field verify the count. b. Replacement ceiling tiles shall match the existing ceiling system in size, edge profile, texture, color, and performance characteristics. Ceiling tiles shall be compatible with the existing suspended ceiling grid system and comply with the project specifications . Contractor shall field verify the existing ceiling tile type and manufacturer prior to ordering materials. c. Remove and reinstall existing ceiling tiles as required to facilitate construction. Any ceiling tiles damaged during removal or reinstallation shall be replaced at no additional cost to the District. d. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to restore the ceiling system to a complete and finished condition, including replacement of any damaged suspension grid components or accessories affected by the work. C. LIGHT FIXTURES a. Replace all cracked, broken, missing, yellowed, or otherwise damaged light fixture lenses, diffusers, or covers within the project area. b. Replacement lenses, diffusers, or covers shall match the existing fixture type, size, material, and appearance unless otherwise approved by the District. c. Verify proper operation of all light fixtures affected by the work upon completion of installation. TECHNOLOGY / AUDIOVISUAL WORK a. The District will furnish and install some audiovisual equipment, including but not limited to display screens, AV racks, network equipment, control devices, and associated AV components (Owner-Furnished, Owner-Installed [OFOI]). Refer to the Responsibility Matrix attached in this document including scope that is OFOI and OFCI. b. The Contractor shall provide and install all raceway infrastructure required for a complete installation, including, but not limited to, conduits, conduit fittings , pull boxes, junction boxes, sleeves, supports, backing, pull strings, and all accessories required for a complete installation. c. Provide and install all required display backing, blocking, supports, and mounting reinforcement within the walls as required to accommodate the Owner-furnished display mounting systems. d. Provide dedicated 2-inch conduit(s) from each audiovisual display location to the serving IDF room and AV rack location, unless otherwise indicated in the contract documents . Conduits shall be complete with pull strings and shall be installed concealed within walls, ceilings, or other building construction where applicable. e. Provide all required power, branch circuit rough-in, boxes, and raceway infrastructure to the designated display and AV equipment locations as indicated in the contract documents . Award of Contract: The Notice of Intent to Award will be presented to the LBCCD Board of Trustees for approval on the meeting following the bid opening, tentatively scheduled for October 14, 2026.
