CO OMAD 300(71) Provide roadway reconditioning and add four inches of aggregate surface course on existing certified gravel roads that support the Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Program (Minuteman). Work includes reconditioning the existing gravel roadway in accordance with Section 303, placing additional Aggregate Surface Course in accordance with Section 301 with a maximum roadway width of 24 feet, establishing a 4% crown or as approved by the Contracting Officer, tapering aggregate surface at applicable locations, and replacing up to 27 culverts. All work will remain within the existing roadway bench. The project will be procured using the Fixed-Price Variable Scope (FPVS) contracting method and includes approximately 50 miles of variable-scope roadway reconditioning and re-graveling, replacement of culverts of varying lengths, and associated subgrade repairs. Principal work items include contractor quality control, contractor testing, pipe culverts, aggregate surface course, aggregate surface reconditioning, and temporary traffic control.
