The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on October 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Region One/District One Office in Schaumburg. Phase III engineering services are required to provide construction engineering for subject improvement. The improvement consists of roadway reconstruction and widening of IL 22. South Krueger Road shall be reconstructed and realigned to a common four-legged signalized intersection with Corporate Drive and IL Route 22. Old McHenry Road shall be reconstructed along with a replacement traffic signal. North Kruger Road shall be reconstructed, and Blackhawk Lane shall be realigned to form a four-legged new signalized intersection with IL 22 including a new traffic signal. The improvement includes Shared-Use Path, 17 Retaining Walls, seven major culvert crossings, a closed drainage system, Controlled Stiffness Column Ground Improvement and temporary retaining walls. Traffic will be managed with staged construction. One lane in each direction will be maintained throughout stage construction. Four main construction stages are anticipated to carry out the proposed work.
