TriMet is acquiring the former Greyhound terminal site at 550 N.W. Sixth Ave. in Portland for redevelopment into a secured bus layover facility and future high-density mixed-use development. The initial phase includes demolition of existing terminal buildings, construction of a secure bus storage yard for up to nine 60-foot buses, fencing, gates, and parking improvements. Long-term plans include housing and ground-floor retail development through future development partners. Property acquisition is expected to close in late summer or early fall 2026.
