Maintenance dredging of the Davis Ferry Channel including dredging and disposal of approximately 1,000 cubic yards of material using a bucket and barge to restore the authorized channel depth. Includes transportation and disposal of spoil material in the designated bankside area. Carteret County is requesting informal bids for maintenance dredging of the Davis Ferry Channel. The channel provides public boater and ferry access through Core Sound and to Cape Lookout National Seashore and is accessible from Highway 70. The project includes dredging and disposing of approximately 1,000 cubic yards of material using a bucket and barge to restore the authorized depth throughout the channel. The spoil disposal area will be located near the parking lot on the bankside. The contractor will be responsible for all dredging, transportation, and proper disposal of the spoil material. The work will be completed under CAMA General Permit No. 9729
