The project consists of bridge maintenance repair works at two (2) locations in Pawtucket and Providence as follows: Location 1 - Pleasant View Railroad Bridge No. 056301, Pawtucket, RI / Attleboro, MA Location 2 - Smithfield Avenue Railroad Bridge No. 093201, Providence, RI. The proposed work at each bridge is shown on the plans and generally includes structural steel repairs with temporary shoring, painting, and traffic control. All work shall comply with the February 2026 Standard Specifications for Road & Bridge Construction (Blue Book). The traveled way under any given bridge may include a work area extending up to 100' to either side of the bridge extents. Impacts below bridges over railroad tracks will be coordinated with the railways utilizing the tracks, the ROW owners, and rail traffic dispatchers as needed. Bridge No. 056301 is a border bridge with shared responsibility between RIDOT and MassDOT.
