Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Placerville, California. Completed plans call civil work for a bridge / tunnel, road / highway and sidewalk / parking lot.

Demolition of the existing bridge at Hangtown Creek; construction of a new two-lane bridge with two-way turn-lane, bike lanes, and sidewalks; relocation of water and sewer mains; construction of retaining walls; roadway improvements including reconstruction, curb, gutter, sidewalk, storm drainage, street lighting, traffic signal modifications, pedestrian crossing improvements, and roadway striping. Major elements of construction of the Placerville Drive Projects include the following: Demolition of the existing two-lane bridge over Hangtown Creek; Construction of a new three-span Cast-in-Place/Reinforced Concrete Slab bridge founded on CIDH piles and spread footings; Construction of retaining walls, including Type 1 and Type 5 walls within the Bridge Project limits, and Type 6A/6B walls and block walls within the Bike/Ped Project limits; Removal and replacement of an El Dorado Irrigation District 10" water main attached to the existing bridge; Removal of a 20" City sewer main from its location in Hangtown Creek at the bridge and reconstruction to a new alignment in Placerville Drive; Installation of Rock Slope Protection around the bridge and creek embankments; Construction of curb, gutter, and sidewalk; Storm drainage system improvements; Pavement rehabilitation and roadway paving, Installation of new street lighting; Traffic signal modifications and installation of pedestrian crossing improvements; Installation of signing and striping; and Traffic control and a detour to facilitate bridge construction.
