Verdin Solar LLC, represented by Zac Bartholomew and agent Lea Phillip of Ballard Spahr LLP, is seeking approval on land owned by the Arizona State Land Department to amend the land use plan designation from Very Low Density Residential (VLDR) and Proposed Open Space to approximately 1,500 acres of Green Energy Production and 1,062 acres of Proposed Open Space. The amendment would facilitate development of a utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) generation facility and battery energy storage system (BESS) approximately eight miles southwest of Red Rock, Arizona.
