The project requires installing the new valve while maintaining system integrity by performing hot tapping and stopping operation Project Locations: N. Westover Boulevard, Albany, Ga Gillionville Road, Albany, Ga Scope of Services: o 6-foot x 40-foot quadrupole detection loop, the detection loop will be replaced within three (3) days after the pavement work is complete. Utility coordination and Georgia 811 notification prior to excavation o Traffic control in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and all applicable state and local requirements. o Saw cutting, excavation, trench safety, dewatering (if required), and restoration of the work area. o Installation of City-furnished 8-inch control fittings, piping, valve, and associated appurtenances. o Fabrication and welding of the replacement valve assembly. o Pressure testing of the completed installation in accordance with applicable natural gas industry standards and the City's specifications. o Performing all required hot tapping and stopping operations necessary to maintain gas service during valve replacement. o Removal and abandonment of the existing valve in accordance with the project specifications. o Leak testing, coating/wrapping of exposed steel piping and fittings, and installation of the new valve box. oBackfilling, compaction, and restoration of the roadway to equal or better than existing conditions. oDisposal of all waste materials generated during construction
