The scope of work includes all equipment, labor, and specified materials per Exhibit A: Project Plans. Work under this project consists of stabilizing an actively eroding headcut on an unnamed tributary to Warden Creek to prevent further upstream migration and channel incision. The project will install a rock grade control structure in accordance with NRCS Conservation Practice Standard 410 (Grade Stabilization Structure), affecting approximately 43 linear feet of channel and 950 square feet of total disturbance area, as described and shown on the Construction Plans (Exhibit A, Sheets C2--C3). Treatments include the following: Mobilization and demobilization of all equipment and materials necessary to complete the work Grading of unstable channel banks to a minimum 1.5: 1 (H:V) slope, tying regraded areas into existing channel geometry to maintain hydraulic continuity Construction of a rock grade control structure in a wide " U" (inverted trapezoidal) configuration, extending approximately 20 feet upstream and 20 feet downstream of the existing headcut Stabilization of streambanks within the armored section with rock at a minimum slope of 1 :1.5, transitioning to match existing ground surface Placement of approximately 35 cubic yards of engineered rock riprap, sized and placed per Exhibit A Placement of erosion control straw over all disturbed areas, including spreadin Anticipated Award Date: September 8, 2026 A mandatory pre-bid site tour will be held at 3PM on August 11, 2026. Prospective bidders will meet on Turri Road at the following coordinates: 35.324559, -120.800751. Contractors planning to submit a bid must attend the site tour. Directions : Turri Road runs between South Bay Boulevard (north end, near Los Osos/Baywood Park) and Los Osos Valley Road (south end). The meeting point is located approximately 1.7 miles south of the Turri Road/South Bay Boulevard intersection, or approximately 3 miles north of the Turri Road/Los Osos Valley Road intersection. From Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo : Take exit 200A for Los Osos Valley Road and head west approximately 6.8 miles. Turn right (north) onto Turri Road and continue approximately 3 miles to the meeting point. From Highway 1 in Morro Bay: Take exit 277 and follow signs for Los Osos/Baywood Park, heading south on South Bay Boulevard approximately 2 miles . Turn left (east) onto Turri Road and continue approximately 1.7 miles to the meeting point. Note: Turri Road is narrow, hilly, and winding with limited pull-outs.
