The City of Alpharetta (City) is requesting proposals from Contractors qualified to provide lighting upgrades to baseball fields within our City's Wills Park Our intent for Wills Park lower baseball fields #1-#4 (these fields have 24 existing wooden poles) and upper baseball fields #5-#8 (these fields are the LED replacements only), is to replace existing wooden light poles one for one with steel poles, unless the same amount of lighting can be achieved with less poles, and to upgrade all existing lighting fixtures to LED at all fields. An aerial map has been provided with current pole and lighting locations noted. Contractors must comply with all requirements for bonding, insurance, licensing, and permitting. The project scope will address the following: removal and disposal of existing wooden poles, installing new steel poles, and updating the current lighting fixtures to LED fixtures providing no less than a Class IV lighting level for our customers. Required design and permitting should also be included. The awarded Contractor will be responsible for soil testing, engineered stamped structural drawings for the new steel pole foundations, and for safe disposal of the old wood poles and light fixtures.
