Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Kitchener, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Regional Municipality of Waterloo (Region) wishes to engage the services of a Licensed Well Drilling Contractor to conduct drilling and test well construction. This work includes targeted exploration of groundwater source opportunities in the bedrock in the Mannheim area. Ten bedrock test wells will be installed to total depths of about 160 m with 24-hour pumping tests being completed at five of the test wells. The data collected will improve the Region's hydrogeological understanding in the area and support future expansion of the Region's water supply. The drilling, well construction, development, and testing/monitoring will be carried out under the supervision of the Region's Consultant, Stantec Consulting Ltd. Stantec will administer the well construction contract, which includes monitoring the Contractor's work to document compliance with the contract specifications, health and safety regulations, and reasonable progress of the work. The Consultant will also review the Contractor's invoices and change orders and provide recommendations for payment.
