The Corporation of the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury (the Owner) is an invitation to prospective respondents wishing to prequalify for eligibility to participate in a potential second-stage competitive bid process for the Construction Services of the John Fennel Reservoir Expansion (the Deliverables). The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is undertaking a project to expand the existing John Fennell Reservoir located at 4022 Sideroad 10 in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada. The John Fennell Reservoir Expansion was identified in the Bradford Water and Wastewater Servicing Criteria Report completed by Tatham Engineering in January 2020. The expansion is required to provide additional treated water storage capacity to meet the Town's projected maximum day demand by 2031 and to provide one day of emergency reserve storage in the event of a supply disruption from InnServices. The project will increase the total storage capacity of the existing reservoir from 10,000 m3 to 15,000 m3 through the construction of a third reinforced concrete reservoir cell. The scope of work for the John Fennell Reservoir Expansion includes the construction of one (1) new 5,000 m3 reinforced concrete reservoir adjacent to the existing two-cell reservoir, associated process piping, valving, site grading and drainage, yard piping, roadways, restoration, landscaping, and all associated civil, structural and mechanical works required to integrate the new reservoir cell into the existing drinking water system while maintaining continuous operation of the existing facility. Only those selected from this prequalification process will be included on a list of prequalified suppliers that may be invited to participate in a second-stage competitive bid process for the potential provision of the Deliverables to the Owner. The anticipated start date for construction is October 2026, with an anticipated construction duration of approximately 13 months.
