The Cambridge Housing Authority (CHA), as Owner and Managing Agent for its affiliate properties, invites electronic bids from qualified contractors to furnish, install, integrate, test, and commission a complete automatic vehicle access control system for the parking spine located on Washington Street between Portland Street and Windsor Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The work includes installation of automatic barrier arm gates, integration with CHA's existing Avigilon access control system, pedestal-mounted access control devices, associated electrical and network infrastructure, trenching, signage, emergency access provisions, emergency vehicle preemption/siren detection, removal of existing cast iron gates, site restoration, and all related work necessary to provide a complete and fully operational system. The selected bidder shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permitting, coordination, commissioning, closeout documentation, and training necessary for a turnkey installation. The work is estimated to cost between $25,000-$75,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. Chapter 30, s. 39M and to the Davis Bacon Wage determination rates attached to the bid documents.
