Renovation of an educational facility in Chicago, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Replacement of exterior doors at Graham ES. Questions Due Date Online Portal Deadline to submit Questions Jul 27th 2026, 5:00 PM CDT Online Portal Demo and install (4) new exterior hollow metal, fire rated doors, frames and the surrounding concrete associated with each door along with all locking mechanisms, including the combinate keying system. 1) Demo and remove all 12 exterior doors, door panels and frames. 2) Provide and install (12) new hollow metal, fire-rated doors and corresponding framing and panels. 3) Provide and install (12) new mortise-type locksets and corresponding ADA required hardware. 4) Provide, install Details and adjust new automatic door closers for each door 5) Provide and install hold-opens for each door for each location of the installation 6) Provide and install new kick plates for each door installed. 7) Provide and install new crash bars or panic bars on exterior doors. 8) Replace and install new stationary panels or fixed panel doors to existing doors for the corresponding locations and door sweeps on all new doors. 9) paint all unfinished surfaces per discretion of the building administration, provide a color chart to building administration within 1 week of successful notice of award. 10) Provide, install and key new cylinders per specification of building administration. Keying system to be agreed upon by building administration. May include key mastering, section mastering, housekeeping mastering,etc. 11) Furnish (2) keys per cylinder and (20) keys for building attic stock 12) At door 3 dismantle the existing fob system and reinstall the same fob system on the new door. 13) Provide (2) copies of the keying specifications upon project completion. 14) Demonstrate the functionality of all of the installed items and best practices upon completion. 15) The successful bidder will schedule the work with building administration, starting no later than 30 days after the notice of the award unless otherwise instructed. 16) The successful bidder will keep the owner aware of all long lead items and minimize delays as much as possible. 17) Contractor to secure necessary permits. 18) Contractor to field verify dimensions and specifics of all projects listed above before placing bid. 19) Not responsible for contractor errors as a result of non-field verification. 20) Materials and installation must comply with CPS Standards and Specifications associated with the scope of this project. All questions/requests must be received two business days prior to bid closing.
