Replace two (2) non-functioning air conditioning units at the Naval Postgraduate School remote site by procuring and installing two new 3-ton Bard W36HY-B09 wall-mount heat pump systems, 230V single phase, utilizing R-454B refrigerant. Each unit shall include factory-approved electric backup heat strips for supplemental heating during colder conditions. The replacement units will be installed on Building 1 and Building 2 to maintain a safe indoor environment during periods of excessive temperatures. Work includes removal and disposal of the existing equipment, installation and securing of the new Bard units, reconnection to existing electrical power and low-voltage control wiring, pressure testing and commissioning of refrigerant circuits, and verification of proper system operation. The contractor shall also install compatible programmable thermostats in accordance with manufacturer specifications and applicable codes, perform complete system startup and commissioning, verify airflow and temperature performance, and demonstrate proper heating, cooling, and control functions to the on-site manager.
