Reference Number 0000329341 Question Acceptance Deadline 2026/08/25 04:00:00 PM CDT The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, requires a Service Provider to decommission and remove two (2) underground storage tanks (USTs) with remedial soil excavation, conduct a soil assessment and develop a Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment (HHERA) for the Fidler's Corner former gas station in Grass River Provincial Park. The subject property at Fidler's Corner is a former gas station containing two USTs. It is located on previously leased land at the intersection of Provincial Trunk Highways 10 and 39 in Grass River Provincial Park, across NE-7-63-26W1 and NW-08-63-26W1, 54.440158 N, -101.368523W. The site was suspected of petroleum hydrocarbon (PHC) contamination due to its age and long period of inactivity. Soil sampling conducted in 2025 confirmed contamination exceeding applicable environmental standards for PHC Fractions F2 and F3. The impacts at the site have not yet been fully assessed. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Request for Proposal for Design Services is Underway.
