Description

Site work for a water / sewer project in Dalton, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Design-Build services for utilities upgrades phase 1 including project documentation and coordination. The underground utility improvements at Dalton State College involve replacing an ageing infrastructure that has reached the end of its life cycle. The existing sanitary sewer consists of deteriorating clay pipes, which have experienced failures due to cracking, joint separation and root intrusion, resulting in system failing reliability, and an increase in maintenance. In addition, the campus water lines are constructed of ductile iron that are aging and deteriorating, also some areas of storm water may be upgraded. This project intends to replace failing sanitary and water lines with new modern piping to improve performance and reliability and provide long term service for the college campus.
