Camp Dawson located in Kingwood, WV., per the attached specifications. The West Virginia Purchasing Division is soliciting bids on behalf of the Adjutant General's Office, Division of Engineering and Facilities, to establish a contract to provide all required materials, labor, and equipment for repairing climbing towers at Camp Dawson located in Kingwood, WV, per the attached specifications. Camp Dawson :- Training Site- Building 301-Post Engineering 240 Army Road Kingwood, WV 26537. The purpose of this scope of work to outline the steps required for conducting maintenance to the climbing tower located on Camp Dawson in Kingwood, WV. A structural epoxy is to be applied to all cavities present on the tower. A protective coat, according to the manufacturer's directions, will be applied to all wooden surfaces of the climbing tower; for wood preservation and waterproofing. Additionally, a form of textured paint is to be applied on the steps of the stairs and around the edge of the upper platform of the tower. Yellow paint markings for the upper platform of the tower will need to be reapplied as well. Attached at the bottom of this document are two pages providing a visual of the tower's design on all four sides. The objectives for this project are as follows: o Fill cavities with structural epoxy for wood applications. o Prepare surfaces for treatment per the preservative manufacturer's recommendations. o Apply wood protective coating to all surfaces of the tower to include walls, stairs, platforms, and railings. Apply textured paint to the stairs and top platform edge of the tower. o Apply yellow paint markings as required by safety standards.
