Site work and paving for a road / highway in Liberty, Texas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) plans to reconstruct and widen an 11.4-mile section of US 90 between FM 563 and SH 61 in Liberty County. The project will convert the existing two-lane undivided highway into a four-lane highway with raised medians, turn lanes, widened shoulders, and additional right-of-way acquisition totaling approximately 103.3 acres. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2027.
