Renovation of a multi-residential development in Bridgeport, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Replacement of five (5) boilers at Camp Clarke Public Housing. Questions regarding this solicitation should be directed to: Jason Wilcox, Maintenance Director Phone: 308-225-0476 Email: jason@scottsbluffhousing.com The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, permits, inspections, testing, startup, cleanup, and disposal necessary to complete the removal and replacement of one (1) boiler at each of the five (5) project locations. The work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: A) Removal of Existing Equipment The Contractor shall: - Disconnect existing gas, water, electrical, venting, and heating system connections. - Remove the existing boiler from each property. - Remove obsolete piping, controls, and accessories that are no longer required. - Remove abandoned wiring associated with the existing equipment, where applicable. - Properly dispose of all removed equipment and debris in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. B) Installation of New Boilers The Contractor shall furnish and install one ( 1) new boiler at each project location. Each replacement boiler shall be equal to or greater than the capacity of the existing unit and shall be appropriate for the size and heating requirements of the building. Installation shall include all components necessary for a complete operational heating system, including but not limited to: - Boilers - Isolation/Zone valves - Pressure relief valves - Expansion tank(s), if required - Air eliminators - Pumps and circulators/circulation pumps - Boiler controls - Thermostats and control wiring, if required - Venting system modifications - Gas piping modifications - Water piping modifications - Electrical connections - Condensate piping (if applicable) - Pipe insulation for all new piping including piping near boiler - All miscellaneous fittings, supports, fasteners, and accessories necessary for a complete installation All equipment shall be installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and applicable codes. C) Mechanical Work The Contractor shall modify existing mechanical systems as necessary to accommodate the replacement equipment. All piping shall be properly supported, insulated, and pressure tested. The Contractor shall reconnect all existing heating zones and verify proper circulation throughout the system. Any leaks or improper operation shall be corrected prior to final acceptance. D) Electrical Work The Contractor shall provide all electrical work required for proper operation of the boilers, including: - Electrical disconnects, if required - Control wiring - Safety controls - Reconnection to existing electrical service All electrical work shall comply with the National Electrical Code and local code requirements. E) Startup, Testing, and Commissioning Following installation, the Contractor shall: - Fill each heating system. - Purge air from the system - Verify operating pressures. - Verify gas pressure. - Perform combustion analysis and adjustments in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. - Test all safety controls. - Verify thermostat operation. - Verify proper pump operation. - Confirm heating is provided to all dwelling units served by the boiler. - Complete all manufacturer startup procedures. Equipment shall not be considered complete until all systems are operating properly
