Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Kingston, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work is expected to be completed within a single mobilization once started, with no prolonged seasonal downtimes included in the schedule. The intent is for the scope of work to be completed no later than December 31 , 2026. The work is generally expected to be completed in phases that maintain safe access and usage of 50% of the site's available parking capacity (minimum). During partial closures, safe two-way traffic must be maintained at all times through the entrance location, with traffic management provided by the Proponent, as needed. A full-site closure will be permitted for a single 3-day period during construction. The intent of this closure is to allow for work to occur safely at the entrance, and for single phase paving over the site. Proponents will be required to submit phasing and traffic control plans for approval prior to mobilization. This Request for Proposals (the RFP) is an invitation by the City of Kingston (the City) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Ontario Brock Lot Restoration as further described in Part 2 of the RFP Particulars (the Deliverables). The site will be open to active parking during the site visit; Proponents are advised to wear reflective clothing during their review. Attendance will be taken. A non-mandatory site visit is recommended so that proponents can familiarize themselves with various constraints of the facility and specific project requirements.
