Sanitary sewer pipe repair, including point repair and CIPP lining of 12-inch diameter pipe, removal and replacement of exterior drop connection at Manhole No. 136, and pavement restoration. Question Submission Deadline: August 17, 2026, 12:00am Proposers shall submit all inquiries or requests to schedule a walkthrough regarding this RFP via the OpenGov portal online. Scope of Work 1. The Scope of Work shall include the following: Point Repair and CIPP Lining Remove existing 12-inch diameter pipe with 12-inch diameter PVC SDR 35 14-linear feet from Manhole No. 136 going towards Manhole No. 268. Remove and replace the exterior drop connection on existing Manhole No. 136 Contractor shall ensure pipe penetrations are sealed and watertight. Contractor shall connect new pipe to existing good pipe with a watertight connection. Connect new pipe to existing PVC pipe with neoprene rubber coupling with stainless steel straps or coupling provided by the manufacturer and approved by the owner. When adjoining new pipe to existing, the maximum space between the abutting pipes shall be 1/8 inches or less. Any further space between pipes shall not be acceptable. Submit pictures or request an inspection before and after installation of rubber coupling and manhole connections to the Gary Sanitary District for verification. Inspection shall be requested 2 days before connections are made. CIPP line existing 12-inch diameter pipe x 146 linear feet starting from Manhole No. 136 to Manhole No. 268. The CIPP liner shall extend 4 -inches into existing manholes. The Contractor shall install a pre-liner or perform chemical grouting of infiltration points. Pre-liner shall be continuous and extended from the starting manhole to the final manhole. The minimum liner thickness shall conform to Specification 02633 and all other applicable standards for CIPP lining. The minimum thickness of the cured liner must be 0.35 inches. Install end seal at each end of the CIPP liner within each manhole. Contractor shall CIPP line all active service laterals from the sewer main to the edge of the easement public right-of-way or 2 feet from the outside of sewer main, whichever is greater.
