Replacement of the retaining wall at the Carlisle Public School. Questions can be directed to theTown Administrator. Questions must be submitted by 1pm on August 26, 2026 Requests for interpretation shall be sent by email to the Town Administrator (rmclane@carlislema.gov) The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to complete the project, including but not limited to the following: A. Removal and Disposal o Remove the existing failed retaining wall system. o Remove and legally dispose of all demolished wall materials and unsuitable materials. o Protect adjacent pavement, utilities, landscaping, and existing site features during demolition activities. o Provide all necessary excavation required for installation of the new retaining wall system. B. New Retaining Wall Installation The Contractor shall install a new engineered retaining wall system suitable for roadway support conditions, including: o Proper excavation and preparation of the wall foundation. o Installation of a compacted crushed stone leveling base. o Installation of a segmental concrete retaining wall system or approved equivalent. o Installation of required retaining wall components including blocks, caps, connectors, reinforcement, and accessories. o Installation of geogrid reinforcement where required by the engineered design. o Installation of drainage materials behind the wall, including: o Clean drainage stone. o Filter fabric. o Perforated drainage pipe or equivalent drainage system. o Proper backfilling and compaction in accordance with the engineered design and manufacturer's requirements. C. Site Restoration Upon completion of the retaining wall installation, the Contractor shall : - Restore disturbed pavement edges, roadway shoulders, grades, and adjacent areas. - Remove all excess materials and construction debris. o Leave the site in a clean, safe, and finished condition acceptable to Carlisle Public Schools
