Installation of pole wrap lighting in the downtown area. The City of Alachua is issuing this RFP to establish a Contract for the Downtown Pole Wrap and Lighting Project. The City of Alachua intends to make a single award; however, the City of Alachua reserves the right to award to one (1) or multiple Respondents or to make no award, as determined to be in the best interest of the City of Alachua. The City of Alachua is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to furnish, install, test, program, warrant and support permanent pole wrap lighting on up to 122 existing decorative light poles in Downtown Alachua, Florida. The purpose of the project is to evaluate permanent pole warp lighting alternatives that can reduce or eliminate annual installation, removal,storage, testing, repair and replacement costs associated with seasonal garland and light installation, while improving downtown appearance, reliability, public-event flexibility and long-term maintenance efficiency. The City of Alachua is requesting for four (4) possible implementation alternatives so that the City Manager, and The Purchasing and Evaluation Committee can compare cost, functionality, warranty, durability, appearance, service capability and long-term value before making an award recommendation.
