Columbia Way Urbanization and Widening, Zone 1. 1) Roadway Widening (including Multi-Use Path): a. 2 to 4 Lane Widening from Highway 50 to back to 2 Lanes at Mount Hope Road intersection (Town Preferred); b. 2 to 3 Lane Widening with provision for on-street parking/dropoff area (both sides of roadway) along the St. Michael's Secondary School area, however, reduced back to 2 Lanes at Mount Hope Road intersection. 2) Intersection Improvements - Mount Hope Road & Columbia Way: a. Roundabout; b. Signalized intersection (Town Preferred); 3) Access Improvements - St. Michael's Secondary School; a. Dedicated left turn lane - Eastbound traffic on Columbia Way 4) Pedestrian Crossover (PXO). TIMELINE: Negotiated Request for proposals for engineering services to complete an Environmental Assessment addendum and detailed design for Zone 1 is underway.
