Utah Tech University, in conjunction with the Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM), is inviting bids from qualified general , metal fabrication, and concrete construction contractors to supply labor, materials, equipment, and services required for the complete removal and replacement of corroded iron handrails across campus ADA routes, walkways, elevated pathways, and stairs with ADA-compliant stainless steel handrail systems. This solicitation is open to all licensed contractors. Priority or evaluation preference may be given to vendors holding an active Utah State Cooperative Contract for Construction/ Maintenance Services. Vendors who hold an active State Contract are encouraged to include their State Master Agreement (MA/PD) contract number with their bid submission. PROJECT OVERVIEW Project Name: Campus ADA Route Handrail Replacement Location: Campus-wide ADA routes, walkways, elevated pathways, and staircases. o Priority Classification : Priority 1-Life Safety Estimated Construction Budget: $150,150 Total Estimated Project Cost: $186,305 Project Purpose: Remove rusted and deteriorated iron handrail systems across campus and replace them with structural, 304/316 grade stainless steel systems that comply with ADA 2010 Standards, IBC/ICC 2021 codes, and Utah State Building Code amendments. Current Infrastructure Condition : Existing iron handrails exhibit varying levels of corrosion and structural wear.
