Question Deadline 09/01/2026 The Pickens County Tax Commissioner Building project is a new, one-story building approximately 6,900sf located adjacent to the existing Pickens County Administrative Offices. Functions of the building include a public lobby, customer service representative booths, private customer service interaction office, drive-thru customer service representative office, standard offices, tax commissioner and deputy tax commissioner offices, records room, conference room, break room, storage rooms and support spaces including mechanical, electrical, IT rooms, public and office worker restrooms. There is an exterior porte cochere-style drive-thru canopy for trailer & vehicle registration transactions. Construction systems include: wood framing, aluminum storefront assemblies, full-depth large-format limestone panel cladding, full-depth large-format marble cladding, wood trusses, fiberglass batt insulation, acoustical batt insulation, TPO membrane roofing over coverboard over 4" roof insulation, typical concrete slab with concrete foundations and footings. Interior finishes include gypsum board , acoustical ceiling grid system, acoustical fins applied to the ceiling of the lobby, laminate, carpet and tile flooring. The building will NOT be sprinklered, and the corridor walls will require a 1 hour fire rating and be brought up to bottom of roof deck. The site improvements include a new access drive off the existing Pickens County Administrative Offices access road, new parking lots for public and staff use, concrete stair to the existing parking lot, new retaining walls, storm drainage lines and catch basins, landscaping, sidewalks, accessible curb cuts, and dumpster enclosure.
