Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cabot, Vermont. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; power facility; and for site work for a power facility.
The Town of Cabot requests proposals for Solar PV Array and Battery Storage design, cost estimation, and installation services for two municipal parcels. The Town of Cabot has received Implementation and mini-grant funding through the Municipal Energy Resilience Program (MERP), administered by the State of Vermont Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS), to implement energy efficiency and resilience improvements at the following locations: Wastewater Treatment Facility 153 Sawmill Road, Cabot 05647 Willey Building 3084 Main Street, Cabot 05647 The Scope of Work shall include the following measures updating the relevant measures in the attached Energy Audit. The town expects the proposals to resize the solar and storage from what was included in the audits so that they are based on estimated future energy use of the facilities given the other MERP measures implemented including heat pumps, building envelope retrofits, etc .. The storage should also be sized for critical- load back- up load only (vs. total load ) in cooperation with building leads. Selected bidders are expected to visit the sites. All questions must be submitted before 5:00 PM on August 25, 2026.
