Site work and renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Helmetta, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and for site work for a clubhouse / community center.
General community center building improvements including various repairs and upgrades. Replacement of windows. Bonds: 10% Bid Bond, Certified Check required, 100% Performance Bond, Maintenance Bond required (unspecified amount), Payment Bond required (unspecified amount). Question Deadline 08/27/2026 No Oral interpretation and or clarification of the meaning of the specifications for any goods and services will be made to any bidder. Such request shall be in writing, addressed to the OWNER'S representative stipulated in the specification. In order to be given consideration, written requests for interpretation must be received at least seven (7) business days prior to the date fixed for the opining of bids for goods and services. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary for removal and replacement of windows along with ancillary work as specified herein. This work shall be performed on the Borough of Helmetta Community Center, which is located at 1 Brookside Place, within the Borough of Helmetta, Middlesex County, New Jersey. Such work shall include but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Windows - Multiple existing windows shall be completely removed to expose rough framing. Replace any rotted rough framing, supply and install new window unit, provide joint sealers and insulation along perimeter of window unit (as required) to provide a weather and air tight fit, install new interior and exterior trim/siding (including extension jambs, sill, and molding), sheet rock repair, and paint to match existing finishes. 2. Debris - All debris generated by Contractor operations shall be removed from the site and properly disposed of at an off-site facility by the Contractor. Grounds adjacent to the building shall be thoroughly cleaned of all items removed, nails and other construction related debris to the satisfaction of the Engineer. 3. Interior Molding/Trim Painting Paint all interior molding/trim. This shall include base, window, and door molding/trim. Paint shall be white in color and match existing finish. Prior to painting, the Contractor shall perform the following: i . Set nails/screws, patch, caulk, spackle and sand all imperfections (dimples, cracks, holes, etc) to provide a smooth surface. ii . Spot prime all areas that have been spackled/filled and sanded. iii. Sand glossy surfaces to dull surface and remove residue. iv. Protect all areas from paint spills, splatter, and drips as required. Post painting, the Contractor shall perform the following: i. Touch up and clean all surfaces within limits of work. Arreas to be painted include the following: i. Approximately 950 linear-feet of trim/molding. d. Provide one gallon of each color utilized to the Owner for future use by same. All containers shall be clearly marked with color, finish and manufacturer. Interior Wall Repair and Painting o Paint areas of interior walls which are to be repaired. o All walls shall be provided with 2 coats of paint Sherwin Williams Canvas Tan 7531 , or approved equal. Finish shall match existing finish. Owner to remove existing wall hangings such as bulletin boards, posters, artwork, etc. Prior to painting, the Contractor shall perform the following, as necessary: i. Remove all switch, outlet, and data port plates. ii. Remove hardware and other accessories, which are not to be finished. iii. Set nails/screws, patch, caulk, spackle and sand all imperfections (dimples, cracks, holes, etc) to provide a smooth surface. iv. Spot prime all areas that have been spackled/filled and sanded. V. Sand glossy surfaces to dull surface and remove residue. vi. Protect all areas from paint spills, splatter, and drips as required. Post painting, the Contractor shall perform the following: i. Reinstall hardware and removed accessories, which are not refinished. ii. Touch up and clean all surfaces within limits of work. Arreas to be repaired and painted include the following: i. Approximately 200 square-feet of walls. Provide one gallon of each color utilized to the Owner for future use by same. All containers shall be clearly marked with color, finish and manufacturer. 5. Ceiling Repair and Painting oPaint areas of ceiling which are to be repaired. All ceilings shall be provided with 2 coats of white ceiling paint as specified. Owner to remove existing wall hangings such as bulletin boards, posters, artwork, etc. Prior to painting, the Contractor shall perform the following: i. Remove all switch, outlet, and data port plates. ii. Remove hardware and other accessories, which are not to be finished. iii. Remove all screws, hooks, posts , etc utilized for wall hangings. iv. Set nails/screws, patch, caulk, spackle and sand all imperfections (dimples, cracks, holes, etc) to provide a smooth surface. v. Replace sheetrock, as required. vi. Spot prime all areas that have been spackled/filled and sanded. vii. Sand glossy surfaces to dull surface and remove residue. viii. Remove wall mounted sconce light fixtures, cap electrical boxes, and repair any damage to the adjacent wall area. ix. Protect all areas from paint spills, splatter, and drips as required. Post painting, the Contractor shall perform the following: i. Reinstall hardware and removed accessories, which are not refinished. ii. Touch up and clean all surfaces within limits of work. Areas to be painted include the following: i. Approximately 3,000 square-feet of ceiling. Provide one gallon of each color utilized to the Owner for future use by same. All containers shall be clearly marked with color, finish and manufacturer.
