The Contractor is to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary to remove and replace approximately 195 linear feet of damaged existing V- Ditch Gutter at the Laguna Woods Golf course at the south end of RV parking lot A. as shown on the attached map. PROJECT LOCATION Contractor shall carry out all Services at the following location within Laguna Woods Village, Laguna Woods, CA 92637: Laguna Woods Village RV Parking Lot located past the Golf Maintenance Center at 23552 Moulton Parkway. V- Gutter Location GRF 4-1 NW Any questions regarding the RFP should be submitted via email to leslie.cameron@vmsinc.org and scot.wolf@vmsinc.org, no later than 8:00 AM on August 17, 2026 Contractor shall perform the following concrete replacement work included in the following scope of work unless stated otherwise: a. Contractor shall provide work schedule to the Corporation Representative for each task. b. Provide proper erosion control and sediment retention measures to remain in place during repair operations to prevent sediment intrusion into community storm drains. c. Utility Clearance: Locate and mark all underground utilities via local dig-alert services before excavation. d. Traffic Control : Implement traffic and pedestrian safety controls if the work area impacts roadways or walkways. e. Erosion Control : Install Best Management Practices (BMPs), including silt fences and straw wattles, to prevent sediment runoff. f. Clearing & Grubbing: Remove vegetation, debris, weeds, and accumulated silt from the damaged ditch zones. g. Cleanly saw-cut the boundaries of the designated failed concrete sections to prevent damage to adjacent stable structures. h. Demolish and remove 172 linear feet of collapsed, cracked, or heavily spalled concrete sections of 66" across, 27" tall left side, 16" tall right side, 20" center V Gutter. i . Load, haul , and legally dispose of all concrete debris and excavated organic material offsite. j. Excavate and re-grade the underlying soil to the original design slope to ensure positive, continuous gravity flow. k. Compact the subgrade soil to a minimum of 95% relative compaction to prevent future settling. 1. Supply, place, and compact an aggregate base layer if required by site soil conditions. m. Form the V-ditch profile according to existing V-ditch gutter. n. Provide and install welded wire mesh reinforcing for new concrete. o. Drill and grout with # 3 rebar tie-bars at 18 inches on center into existing concrete edges to securely bind new sections to old sections. p. Replace 172 linear feet of 66" across, 27" tall left side, 16" tall right side, 20" center concrete V gutter with Greenbook Standard 520-C-2500P concrete pumpable mix concrete to a uniform thickness of 4 inches. q. Apply a smooth trowel finish to the invert (bottom) for optimum water flow and a light broom finish to the sloped sides. r. Tool or cut control joints at 10-foot intervals. Install expansion joints at 30-intervals and at junctions with existing structures. s. Apply a liquid curing compound or utilize wet-curing methods immediately after finishing. t. Remove all formwork carefully after the concrete has achieved sufficient structural strength. u . Backfill, compact, and level the soil adjacent to the new concrete edges to eliminate trip hazards and erosion gaps. v. Remove all tools, excess materials, and temporary erosion control measures from the project area.
