The work involves furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary to construct approximately 5,700-feet, 1,200-feet of 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron pipe, respectively, and appurtenances within Pacific Avenue and Spring Street. Alley Main Conversion Pacific Avenue The work involves furnishing all labor, equipment and materials necessary to construct approximately 5,700-feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP); 1,200-feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe and appurtenances within Pacific Avenue and Spring Street right-of-way. Construction and connection of new copper water service lines from water meters furnished by Long Beach Utilities Department (LBUD) to existing residences and businesses. Cut and plug existing water service lines, remove existing meter boxes, surface restoration, and traffic control in Pacific Avenue from 21st Street to Willow Street, and Spring Street from Pacific Avenue to Long Beach Blvd. The work also includes abandoning existing cast iron pipe (CIP) water mains in various alleys and streets within the project area. Phase 1 1. Pine Avenue (Between Burnett St and Willow St) Installation of 8-inch DIP Abandonment of the existing 6-inch CIP Installation of service laterals, fire hydrants, valves, and pipe appurtenance. 2. Pacific Avenue (Between 21st St and Willow St) Installation of 8-inch DIP Abandonment of the existing 4-inch CIP Installation of service laterals, fire hydrants, valves, and pipe appurtenances 3. Spring Street (Between Pacific Ave and Alley E/O Pacific Ave) Installation of 12-inch DIP Abandonment of existing 12-inch CIP Installation of service laterals, fire hydrants, valves, and pipe appurtenances 4. Spring Street (Between Alley E/O Pacific Ave and Long Beach Blvd) Installation of 12-inch DIP Abandonment of existing 12-inch CIP Installation of service laterals, fire hydrants, valves, and pipe appurtenances Installation of structural lining under the railroad right of way 5. Pine Avenue (Between Willow St and W 28th St) Installation of 8-inch DIP Abandonment of the existing 6-inch CIP Installation of service laterals, fire hydrants, valves, and pipe appurtenances 6.
