SCOPE OF WORK - PROJECT DESCRIPTION The proposed Project consists of new construction, site improvements, and demolition of school facilities. The Project scope also includes interim facilities, as necessary, to accommodate the temporary displacement of any facility and its associated function during construction. 2.1 Detailed Scope of Work A. New Buildings and Structures: 1. Construction of approximately 3 new kindergarten classrooms as well as administration office, library, covered walkway, and all associated infrastructure upgrades. 2. Construction of a new central plant with utility connections to new and remaining buildings on campus. B. Demolition and Removal: 1. Demolition and/or removal of up to a total of 4 buildings containing 22 classrooms including: 2 lift slab buildings containing 18 classrooms, administration office, support spaces, maintenance and operations, with bridge and covered walkway connected to adjacent buildings; 1 permanent classroom building containing 3 kindergarten classrooms and support spaces, and 1 relocatable building containing 1 classroom. C. Installation of a new campus-wide fire alarm system D. Site Improvements: 1. Site improvements including utility upgrades, landscaping, hardscaping, parking, and new play areas with new matting, playground equipment, and shade structure for the kindergarten playground. E. Exterior painting of remaining buildings and structures F. Requirements from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Division of the State Architect (DSA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC), or other improvements to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
